These classes teach your child about famous artists and encourage them to create their own masterpieces. They also keep things moving with songs, books, play-doh time, and a color of the day each week. I am Musical: Adventures of Waffles
Barbara Brown is a Cuban-American elementary teacher in New Jersey who finds joy in teaching young children how to stay in love with music. With an undergraduate degree in ethnomusicology from Barnard College, Columbia University, and a master’s in music education from Montclair State University, Brown works to create curriculum content that allows children to explore music as a part of their humanity. With the support of her real dog, Waffles, Brown has written this book to give both music teachers and parents the opportunity to remind their children that being musical is not something you become, but rather something you will always be. I Am Musical is a beautiful book that my kids reach for over and over again. And I feel especially happy to read it time and time again, because I know it is teaching them such an important lesson.
